2. Puerto Rico, Puerto, Puerto Rico

puerto rico was UNREAL! we left on tuesday- it was my last day of the toxic job (PEACE!!!), it happened to be valentine’s day which had an amazing twist ;) and I met my girls at the airport for wine (of course)before taking off on our red eye flight.

there is nothing like showing up to a new drop zone to skydive- especially your first foreign one- with spanish ragae playing, 200 new beautiful people to meet, your favorite san diego jumpers and 4 days of jumping ahead. it’s the best kind of love that you can get addicted to- those PR sunsets jumps, bare feet beach landings, ripping off a jumpsuit to jump in the ocean, the most genuine hugs/talks/laughs, hanging from helicopters 3 times, family BBQ dinners, planes taking off with the door open, no rules, rum parties, running around high on adrenaline for days, beach house rooftop wine nights, morning beach runs, sunrise lovin’.

leaving puerto rico, I feel like the trip’s message was to fight hard to believe instead of doubt. believing in myself to stay safe jumping somewhere so foreign, believing in my parachute- even when 3 of us bikini pack it in the beach trolley, believing in the people who look me in the eye and tell me they believe in me, believing in my friends as family, believing that the girl taking over my lease will follow through, believing in the gift of learning when I meet my girl red bull role model athlete and saying something stupid, believing in the bigger purpose when my friend and i fall ridiculously hard for each other 1 week before leaving, believing in my sister that she'll support me through this and believing in my gut that there IS more to be found in life as I leave my home/life/friends/family/career/income.
